At least three people lose their lives and four others are injured in a mass shooting at a club in the US state of Michigan.
The incident took place early Sunday morning at a charity lodge in the city of Muskegon.
It’s still not clear how many people were involved in the shooting which happened during a party at the lodge.
“Once I heard the first three [gunshots], I stopped counting. I’ve got two little babies. My cue was to get gone,” said Precious Hathorn, a witness who said she was at the Elk’s Charity Lodge at 149 Ottawa Street when the shooting happened.
Two of the victims, both of them male, were dead at the scene and the others were sent to nearby hospitals.
A third victim, a woman who was first injured during the gunfire and then run over by a car fleeing the scene of the shooting, succumbed to her injuries at around 10 a.m.
Police said its forces arrived at the scene after 2 a.m. after receiving the reports of the shooting.
Authorities say police have made arrests but refuse to give further information as investigation is underway.
