Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, in his own words

The Rob Ford story long ago transitioned from comedy to tragedy, but despite admissions of crack cocaine use and problem drinking, and the release Thursday of a video showing the mayor acting erratically and making death threats, Ford says he will continue to serve out his term and seek re-election in 2014.

A growing number of people are calling on Ford to step aside or step down in order to get help, but Ford insists it’s a problem he can manage, perhaps simply by drinking privately at home. Below are a series of public remarks from the mayor since the crack scandal first broke in the spring. We will leave it up to our readers to decide if Rob Ford is being truthful, not only to the City of Toronto, but also to himself.
